Death Knell features the sonic response of a car to its own dismantling. A car performs as an intersecting point for many different collections of signifiers which manifest into symbols. Your joy ride, my maintenance concern, the vessel that represents the freedom of modernity while reinforcing it's own necessity for experiencing that freedom. With pieces of steel fall loose signifiers until the ubiquitous symbol is dis-constructed to nothing. Enclosed is the audio documentation of that process, to be used as you see fit.
