Moon RA is one of several aliases for Italian composer, sound designer and electronic musician Marie e le Rose. With the six synth expeditions that make up this collection, Rose draws on the moments of inspiration that happened in first discovering Tangerine Dream, Nono, Kraftwerk, Webern and other electronic pioneers. Tapping into equal parts playfulness and focus, each song showcases another side of her versatile playing, from rubbery funk basslines to sublime and glowing sheets of sound. These elastic compositions manage to touch on the best aspects of several different camps of synthesizer music, overflowing with personality but never losing their masterful control.
