Red dust covers every surface on HelioGrave, as the final moments of the planet absorbing itself into oblivion play out. Composed by Austin Sley Julian (Sunk Heaven), HelioGrave is performed as a quartet by Julian on electronics and vocals, Carolyn Hietter on sax and electronics, Riley on electronics, and Gabby Fluke-Mogul on violin. The pieces are unrelenting electroacoustic war, but also convey the smiling abandon that's often felt when there's nothing left to lose. Recorded as part of Julian's 2021 Issue Project Room Artist In Residence at Actors Fund in Downtown Brooklyn with recording and mix assistance from Bob Bellerue.
